MultiTier is a dynamic and values-oriented development consultancy firm founded by a diverse team of seasoned professionals with extensive knowledge and working experience in Africa's development landscape. Our multidisciplinary and multicultural team brings extensive experience in research, development, and capacity-building across various fields, including development studies, agriculture and food systems, food and nutrition security, agroecology, gender and youth studies, innovation systems, policy studies, political economy, knowledge systems, public health, and sociology.
MultiTier specializes in research, policy analysis, capacity building and advocacy across various domains including agriculture, rural development, sustainable and inclusive agri-food systems, and nutrition. MDC specializes in designing and implementing innovative and tailored approaches to address the diverse challenges facing rural and agricultural development initiatives and humanitarian actions implemented in challenging and fragile working environments.
Our Objectives
The objectives of the MultiTier are to:
Provide customized, high-quality research, training and consultancy services tailored to address the unique needs and challenges faced by agencies operating within complex and fragile settings (in the area of agriculture development, food system transformation, rural development and resilience programming).
Support the development organizations and their staffs in designing and implementing innovative, more people-centered and participatory monitoring and learning tools and frameworks for enhancing resilience and food and nutrition security of marginalized communities in crisis-affected and fragile locations.
Support development organizations in designing and implementing socially inclusive, locally relevant and sustainable interventions to enhance the adaptation capacities of vulnerable communities (including women and youth) and ecosystems in the face of climate change and vulnerabilities.
Facilitate and support organizations for policy change, advocacy and innovation based on evidence-driven research and analysis to influence policy-makers and stakeholders to adopt more inclusive development policies and practices in agriculture and rural development to achieve higher impact at scale.
Support development organizations and agencies in resource mobilization and financing to enhance the financial sustainability of initiatives
